Our Story

After many years of living in Truckee and bartending events throughout the Lake Tahoe area, we noticed a lack of private bartending and custom cocktail services for weddings, celebrations, and private events. In Good Spirits was created to fill that niche, offering a completely customized bar experience tailored to each client, venue, and occasion.

From intimate gatherings and bachelorette parties to Tahoe weddings and large celebrations, we bring professional bartending, thoughtful cocktail curation, and event expertise to locations throughout the Lake Tahoe and Truckee area.

With over 20 years of bartending experience, along with a background in event production, we have the skills and expertise to make sure every detail of your bar experience is thoughtfully planned and professionally executed.

Please Note: In Good Spirits is a dry-hire bartending service. Due to state regulations, alcohol is not included in our service packages. We’ll help you determine exactly what you need and assist with ordering spirits, mixers, garnishes, and other bar essentials for your event.

At-home mixology classes

Available throughout the Truckee–Tahoe area, our private mixology classes bring a hands-on cocktail experience right to your home or vacation rental. A fun, custom-curated activity perfect for your next gathering, bachelorette party, girls’ night,
or celebration!

2-3 cocktails of your choosing

Choose two to three cocktails you’d love to learn, and we’ll guide you through the techniques, ingredients, and tricks behind making them at home.

How it Works

A BAR EXPERIENCE TAILORED TO YOUR EVENT

virtual event discovery meeting

During our initial Zoom call, we’ll go over your event, venue, and vision, and discuss what cocktails or bar services will best suit your needs. We can’t wait to hear all the details!

Pre-event tasting (optional)

If preferred, we can set up a pre-event cocktail tasting to help you decide exactly what drinks will best fit your event. Tastings will require an additional fee.

planning + ordering help

3-4 weeks prior to your event, we will connect with you to create a detailed list of everything that needs to be ordered for your chosen cocktails, and can direct you where to order as well.

Day-of-event bartending

On the day of the event, our professional bar staff will arrive at your venue to set up the bar, provide impeccable service while pouring up the goods, and then break down the bar at the end.

  • In Good Spirits is a dry-hire bartending service, meaning clients purchase their own alcohol. We’ll provide a detailed shopping list and help you determine exactly what you’ll need for your event.

  • In Good Spirits is based in Truckee, but we provide private bartending and cocktail services throughout the Lake Tahoe, Olympic Valley, and Truckee area, as well as the Sierra Valley. We are licensed in California and happy to travel further with an additional fee.
